Born into a Mississippi share- cropping family, the fourth of five children, octogenarian Bobbie Burnett had a dream of becoming a teacher. Good grades, hard work, and penny-pinching eventually paid off for her, earning her a BS from Mississippi State College. She lived her dream as a teacher in several
states, because she married a preacher.
