PastFinders: Furnaces of Tennessee

February 9 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm CST

Clarksville historian Carolyn S. Ferrell will speak on the Furnaces of Tennessee, their importance to both sides in the Civil War, and the 18-year old girl who kept a diary record of many of the events.

The Southern Kentucky PastFinders, which has been around at least since the early 1980s, originally devoted itself to Civil War and other kinds of historical relic hunting. Through the years, it evolved into an organization devoted to the love of history in the region. Because of the Covid Outbreak, the PastFinders ceased as an organization. The Logan County Public Library is reviving it for the purpose of continuing the tradition of exploring the reasons why “all roads lead through Logan County.”
